Mike and Elena head to the Shore of Lake Ontario
Elena, a recent graduate of SUNY Geneseo, where I used to work as a photographer, reached out to me on Instagram about photographing her and her boyfriend Mike. She said they wanted a beach shoot, so instead of sand and water, I thought of the beautiful, otherworldly rocky bluffs of Chimney Bluffs State Park in the apple-orchard countryside of Wolcott. It was shortly before sunset when we all arrived so as the shoot progressed, the light became increasingly more beautiful. By the end of the shoot, we were all, myself included, a little wet, but it was all in a day’s work photographing a wonderful couple in love in a beautiful setting on a perfect summer evening.
