Burkhartt Photography is operated by Little Vows Photography LLC, doing business as Burkhartt Photography, based in Rochester, New York. This policy explains what information this website collects, why, and what happens to it.

What I collect

When you fill out the contact form, I collect the information you choose to enter: your name, your partner's name, email address, phone number, the type of session you're planning, your wedding or session date, venue or location, approximate guest count, anything you write in the message field, and how you heard about me. Only your first name, email address, what you're planning, and how you heard about me are required.

If you submit an inquiry through a Facebook or Instagram ad form, Meta provides me with the name, email address and phone number on your Meta profile, along with any answers you give in that form.

This website also collects standard technical information automatically: your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you visit, how long you stay, and the website or ad that referred you.

Why I collect it

To answer your inquiry, check my availability against your date, send you pricing and information, and if we work together, to plan and deliver your photography. Technical information is used to understand how people find and use the site, and to measure whether my advertising is working.

Who else is involved

This site is built and hosted on Squarespace, which processes form submissions and stores them on my behalf.

I use Google Analytics and Google Ads to understand site traffic and measure ad performance, and the Meta pixel and Conversions API to measure the performance of Facebook and Instagram ads. These services place cookies and receive information about your visit, including that a form was submitted. They do not receive the content of your message.

I don't sell your information, and I don't share it with anyone else except where I need a service provider to deliver something you've asked for, or where the law requires it.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This site uses them to keep the site working properly and to support the analytics and advertising measurement described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.

How long I keep it

Inquiry information is kept for as long as it's useful for responding to you and for my own business records. If we work together, I keep project records as long as I need them for business and tax purposes. If you'd rather I delete your inquiry, ask and I will.

Your choices

You can ask me what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email matt@burkharttphotography.com and I'll take care of it.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR. Those rights apply here too, same email address.

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
